As per a report from Wall Street Journal, Saudi Arabia has shared an intelligence report with US about an imminent attack from Iran on US military bases in neighboring countries. In response, the level of alert for military forces has been raised.
The intelligence report claims that Iran will be carrying out strikes to distract from nationwide protests which started with the death of Mahsa Amini. Amini was beaten severely by officers for allegedly violating the rule requiring women to cover their hair with a hijab. The citizens have since carried out protests with demands for more freedoms, civil rights and an overthrow of the state.
