All Elite Wrestling closed out its 2025 calendar with a festive night of tapings AEW Christmas Collision 12/25/25 in New York City. On December 21, AEW recorded a special edition of AEW Collision at the historic Hammerstein Ballroom, with the episode set to air on Thursday, December 25, as a Christmas Day special.
The taping marked the end of a busy stretch for the promotion as it continues to balance live television with holiday scheduling adjustments. AEW utilized the Hammerstein Ballroom to tape multiple shows on Sunday, including Ring of Honor programming and the Christmas Special edition of Collision. The decision to air Collision on Christmas Day means the show will move away from its traditional Saturday night slot for one week only. The Christmas Special episode will showcase the matches taped on December 21, giving viewers a holiday-themed wrestling card during the festive season. While AEW has not officially promoted the lineup in advance, the results from the taping have begun circulating.
Even the most Grinch or Okada-like of wrestling fans surely will find something this evening to make their heart grow four times its size. Although speaking of Kazuchika Okada, a potential dream match with Konosuke Takeshita may surprisingly be delayed again. There are so many potential stories to be told on this night. Classic rivalries revisited, new ones emerging and personal character arcs. So many possibilities! So many gifts! Kevin Knight’s 2025 has been fantastic, but his Continental Classic run has been exceptional. Bangers but also upsets over Darby Allin and Kazuchika Okada have cemented Knight’s breakout year. Can the Jet upset the Bastard? PAC’s form has been phenomenal since his return to action. The Death Rider member wants to get himself to the semi-finals but will face a difficult challenge.
