This week’s AEW Dynamite 5/20/26 will be a three-hour special, also consisting of the Saturday Night Collision. The edition will serve as the go-home show for the upcoming AEW Double or Nothing 2026, which is set for May 24. The upcoming go-home show of Dynamite-Collision will emanate live from the Cross Arena in Portland, Maine.
After ambushing his Owen Hart Cup Quarterfinal opponent, Bandido, at ROH Super Card, the former AEW World Champion, Swerve Strickland, will make his return this Wednesday. Mark Briscoe is looking for some payback against Tomasso Ciampa, following last week’s brawl on Collision. The two will now settle their score in an ‘Anything Goes, No DQ’ match. Women’s World Tag Team Champions Lena Kross and Megan Bayne will continue their five-minute open challenge. On the other hand, the AEW World Tag Team Titles will also be contested on the show as FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) defending it against The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy & Roderick Strong).
Furthermore, AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley will take on one-half of the AEW World Trios Champions, Kyle O’Reilly, in a Continental Championship Eliminator match this Wednesday. A win for Kyle will earn him a future shot at the Continental title. Before defending the title against MJF in a title vs hair match at Double or Nothing, AEW World Champion Darby Allin will defend it against “Speedball” Mike Bailey on the go-home show of the PPV. Three new matches have been announced for the show, including a singles clash between Will Ospreay and Katsuyori Shibata. On the other hand, AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla will team up with ROH Women’s Champion Athena, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue to take on Thunder Rosa, Mina Shirakawa, Alex Windsor, and Jamie Hayter in an eight-woman tag team match.
Meanwhile, Ricochet, Andrade El Idolo, and AEW National Champion Mark Davis will take on Jericho and Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) in a trios match. The Brawling Birds, Mina Shirakawa, and Thunder Rosa team up tonight in an 8-woman tag team match against Triangle of Madness and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena. It isn’t too long ago that Tony Khan would have promoted this one as an “All-Star” match, so maybe he’s finally ditched that tired tactic. Jamie Hayter will try to send a message to AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla by pinning her in this match, before they meet in a 4-way bout at Double or Nothing.
