WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria is set to defend the title in a rematch against Becky Lynch from Backlash 2025, where Lyra retained the title. They will be the Money in the Bank ladder match for both Women’s and Men’s divisions, who will attempt to retrieve the namesake briefcase, which will guarantee them a World title shot anytime and place of their choice. The Money in the Bank ladder match will feature six top-tier superstars from the Men’s division eyeing the golden briefcase, namely, Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Penta, Andrade, Seth Rollins, and El Grande Americano.
Much like the Men’s division, the women’s division will also see six in-ring athletes compete for the coveted Money in the Bank contract hanging above the ring. Roxanne Perez, Alexa Bliss, Giulia, Naomi, Rhea Ripley, and Stephanie Vaquer will battle for the MITB briefcase. This year’s match will feature three debutants coming fresh off their success in NXT and three major stars from RAW and SmackDown eyeing the opportunity that can alter their careers in the global juggernaut. The third chapter in the feud between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria will be written at the 2025 Money in the Bank PLE. The last two encounters have seen Valkyria defeat The Man, most recently at WWE Backlash PLE last month.
After winning their respective qualifiers on RAW and SmackDown, all of the competitors have a chance to get one step closer to their World Championship aspirations and become the top dog of either of the main roster brands. This match will reveal who WWE has in its plans to be the next World Champion. Considering the current landscape of the company, Seth Rollins is the only name that comes to mind. However, Paul Levesque has built a habit of surprising fans with his pics to win the briefcase in the past few years. Out of all the names, LA Knight will be our pick to win this match. He is extremely popular among the fans, and this win will certainly give him the main-event push that he deserves.
Lyra and Becky have been involved in a feud since the Raw after Wrestlemania and their excellent back-and-forth has added a lot of prestige to the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Becky failed to capture the title in her first attempt, and another failure will lead to her being stripped of the opportunity to challenge for the belt as long as Lyra holds it.
