WWE RAW episode of July 29, 2024, will be RAW’s go-home episode of SummerSlam 2024 PLE and will progress several storylines towards that show. Read on to check the complete match card and preview. Gunther is set to challenge World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest at SummerSlam, but his scathing comments on Priest last week led to a brawl after which both of them were evicted from the building. Priest’s stablemate Finn Balor now wants to step up and show Gunther that it is not wise to fight Judgment Day. A major surprise was introduced in Drew McIntyre vs CM Punk Storyline last week when Seth Rollins was revealed to be the special guest referee for the match. He will present his referee’s instructions to both men. Sheamus defeated Bronson Reed two weeks ago, but the duo will clash in a rematch once again this week. Woods also requested a singles clash against Kross after The Final Testament were able to beat Woods, Otis & Akira Tozawa in a trios match via outside interference. Lyra Valkyria, Kayden Carter & Katana Chance will once again attempt to Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, & Shayna Baszler from tormenting the women’s division. Their last attempt in a trios match failed miserably though. The Creed Brothers solidified their unioin with Chad Gable last week when they attacked Otis and Akira Tozawa. Otis and Tozawa will have a chance at revenge as they clash in a tag team match this week.Neither Punk nor McIntyre are happy about Seth playing such an important role in their fight. They also aren’t happy that Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has forbid them from laying a finger on each other until the match takes place. Sometimes a wrestler will try to get around this restriction by going after the friends or family of his opponent, but it’s not clear that Punk and McIntyre have any friends in WWE right now. At any rate, Seth is loving the spot he’s in as the special referee, because he gets to mess with both of these guys who he really wants to stick it to. And he’ll begin sticking it to them tonight on Raw when he gives his official referee instructions for their match.
