The second episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix will be aired live from the SAP Centre in San Jose, California, United States. After the historic debut episode of the Red brand on January 6, the Stamford-based promotion will continue building storylines towards Royal Rumble PLE. The 2025 Royal Rumble PLE is scheduled for February 1 at the iconic Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. As the event draws closer, WWE will continue to build anticipation with exciting matchups.
The promotion has announced a total of four matches for the second show of the Red brand. Finn Balor and Damian Priest will collide once again in the 01/13 episode of the Red brand in a street fight. The two stars collided in a six-man tag match on the final episode of the Red brand in 2024. Chad Gable is set to face ‘the toughest luchador’ General Manager Adam Pearce can find. Gable’s opponent has not yet been revealed. ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus will lock horns with Ludwig Kaiser as the two stars look for another shot at Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental title. Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai will clash in the final match of the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament. The two stars defeated Iyo Sky and Zoey Strak respectively to advance into the finals.
Priest recently exacted his revenge as he aided the War Raiders in their tag title match against Finn Balo and JD McDonagh. Priest interference cost Balor and McDonagh the World Tag Team titles. The two stars didn’t get a chance to showcase their skills on the debut show, but they will now lock horns in the second episode. On the 01/06 historic show of the Red brand, Chad Gable along with the American Made faction interrupted General Manager Adam Pearce who was being interviewed by Cath Kelley backstage. Gable lauded his own accomplishments, claiming that he single-handedly destroyed Otis and the Alpha Academy. Gable then stated that he wanted to face the best Lucador Pearce could find next week as he wanted to shut down the rumors that suggest he has trouble fighting Lucadors. General Manager Adam Pearce asked the leader of the American Made faction if he was certain, and after Gable confirmed, Pearce responded that he had the ideal opponent in mind for him.
‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus made his WWE return on the final episode of the Red brand in 2024. Sheamus has been absent from in-ring action since his triple threat match against Bron Breakker and Ludwig Kaiser at Survivor Series 2024 PLE. The Celtic Warrior continued his feud with Ludwig Kaiser, assaulting him in his return. The two stars will now lock horns in the SAP Center. The winner will probably get a chance at Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Championship. Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai will clash in the final match of the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament. The two stars defeated Iyo Sky and Zoey Strak respectively to advance into the finals. The two rising stars will battle each other in the 01/13 episode of the Red brand and the winner of the clash will be crowned the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
Ahead of this week’s episode of the Red brand, General Manager Adam Pearce has revealed that ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk will make an appearance on the 01/13 episode. Along with him, the newly crowned WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is also set for an appearance on the show. The Second City Saint emerged victorious in his clash against Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and will likely look to kick off his title journey, most likely challenging Gunther. Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser continue their ongoing feud with both men boasting victories over the other. A shot at Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Championship will be the reward for the winner. The Judgement Day has dominated TV time on WWE Raw over the past few years. The faction’s ever-evolving members and in-fighting have also monopolized the men’s and women’s World Championships. There wasn’t much time for the former leader-turned-chief-antagonist of the faction Damian Priest, or not-leader-but-definitely-leader Finn Bálor on the premiere broadcast on Netflix. This week, they get to rip each other to pieces on the streaming service in a street fight.
