WWE NXT is set for a wild night this Tuesday as the August 5 episode airs live from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. With two title matches already announced, the card just got even bigger with the surprise addition of Nia Jax vs Thea Hail in a rare main roster crossover.
The Irresistible Force is making a special stop in NXT, looking to steamroll one of the brand’s most beloved underdogs. For Thea Hail, it’s a chance to prove she belongs in the ring with WWE’s most dominant women, but surviving Jax will be no easy feat. Elsewhere, the newly-crowned NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca puts her title on the line against the unpredictable Tatum Paxley, while Hank Walker & Tank Ledger defend their NXT Tag Team Championships against Uriah Connors & Kale Dixon of Chase U.
Also on the card: Yoshiki Inamura takes on Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Kelani Jordan battles Blake Monroe, and Lexis King faces Myles Borne. With championship gold, top prospects, and a main roster giant in play, this week’s episode of NXT promises to deliver high-stakes action from start to finish. Fallon Henley defeated Lash Legend due to outside interference by Nia Jax, who attacked Legend after the match. Furthermore, Je’Von Evans defeated Wes Lee. TNA World Champion Trick Williams was on commentary for this match. In the main event of the show, Ethan Page defended the NXT North American Championship against TNA’s Director of Authority, Santino Marella. Page defeated Marella to retain the title after hitting the twisted grin.
During the July 29 show, the promotion announced multiple matches and segments for the next week’s show. Blake Monroe will be in action on the August 5 show. She is set to battle Kelani Jordan in singles action. Myles Borne will battle Lexis King, while NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) are set to defend the titles against Chase U (Kale Dixon & Uriah Connors). Furthermore, Yoshiki Inamura and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo will clash in a singles match. Additionally, Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca will defend the title against Tatum Paxley.
