The August 19 episode of WWE NXT will emanate from Philadelphia! Ahead of the 2025 edition of NXT Heatwave, the development brand will arrive in Philadelphia this week to deliver the go-home show of WWE NXT. The August 19 episode of the developmental brand is set to air live from The Met Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Multiple stars, including Oba Femi, Sol Ruca, Jacy Jayne, Je’von Evans, and Ethan Page, among others, are advertised for the show. Feuds and storylines will reach a boiling point ahead of Heatwave this Sunday. TNA World Champion Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans are set to battle in a number-one-contenders match with the winner getting a title match against the current champ, Oba Femi at NXT Heatwave. Things between Yoshiki Inamura and Josh Briggs have gotten bad really quickly. With the August 19 edition of NXT taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it’s only right that we have a Philadelphia Street Fight on deck. Inamura and Briggs will push each other to the limits with this match-up, as they hope to put an end to this feud. Instead, things could take a rather violent turn between them as they have all of these weapons at their disposal.
Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura will battle in a street fight to settle their differences, while Jasper Troy will take on Ricky Saints. NXT’s Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) will take on TNA’s The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance). Furthermore, ahead of their clash on Sunday, Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe will come face-to-face on next week’s show. The two stars are set to battle at the show in a grudge match. The feud between the two began at Evolution 2025, where Monroe betrayed Grace, costing her the NXT Women’s title match at the PLE.
