With the Continental Classic wrapped up and the possibility of a new AEW World Men’s Champion emerging this Saturday, AEW Worlds End 2025 is shaping up to close the year with high stakes and intense drama.
Broadcasting live from the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Chicago, Illinois, anticipation is peaking as the final card continues to unfold. Fans can expect high-octane championship clashes, surprise appearances, and storyline payoffs that could shift the company’s direction heading into 2026. The AEW Men’s World Championship picture reaches a boiling point as Samoa Joe defends his title in a massive four-way showdown against Swerve Strickland, “Hangman” Adam Page, and a returning MJF. The stakes couldn’t be higher: four top stars, one world title, and a collision of rivalries months in the making. Strickland is back with vengeance in his eyes after losing gold to Joe, Page is desperate to reclaim what he believes was stolen from him, and MJF returns refreshed, refocused, and ready to rewrite history. A chaotic war is inevitable, and only one man will walk out as champion.
For a lot of fans, Okada vs. Takeshita is the most compelling match at Worlds End. The tension has been building for months with so many middle fingers as they each tried to assert themselves as the number one star in the Don Callis Family. Takeshita easily won the Blue League of the Continental Classic, while Okada got by as the Gold League runner-up, and that’s why they are facing each other in the semifinal round. In order to hang on to his AEW Continental championship, Okada will have to once again prove he’s the best tournament wrestler of all-time by defeating the IWGP world heavyweight champ tonight. Per the tournament rules, nobody is allowed to interfere in this match, so the better man should be the winner.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman return for this rather than his Dynamite Diamond Ring signals to me they’re gonna strap him while he’s around. Four-way math always favors the champ, and while I’m certainly not inclined to count any of these guys out, my gut feeling is that the title stays planted right where it is even with MJF trying to play spoiler. Hanger and Swerve’s alliance is firm but still not quite set in stone, and the segment at the Hammerstein Dynamite tells me they might be a little too focused on humbling Max and not quite enough on beating the champ. MJF is going to look like a real dummy if he cashes in that Casino Gauntlet contract for a world title match with extra opponents and then blows it. My mind says Joe keeps the gold, but my gut tells me a surprise might be coming with a new world champion crowned. I think Swerve has the biggest upside for fresh PPV matchups over the next few months. Still think she needs a mouthpiece, but this run appears to be about establishing Stat as the standard-bearer for the AEW Women’s division. That’s going to involve beating at least one more former World champ. Tune is below for complete Match Card and event detail for AEW Worlds End 2025 PPV December 27, 2025.
