Tonight, AEW Collision will air live on both TNT and HBO MAX. The show was taped on Thursday evening in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Brady Music Center, AEW Collision promises Maximum Carnage. There’s the promise of blood and violence in a showdown between The Hangman and the Fallen Angel.
Two of Japan’s best compete for the AEW Continental Championship. Kazuchika Okada takes on a man he has competed with in over 100 matches. “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishi is as formidable and difficult an opponent as any from New Japan Pro Wrestling. Yet, after five singles encounters, Okada leads 4 wins to 1. There is bound to be plenty of fallout after Dynamite. To top it off, this week’s AEW Collision features the promotion’s most controversial and divisive bout of 2025 so far. Given the sound of the crowd from this week’s Dynamite, it is the most unique and different venue for a wrestling event. It’s going to be interesting to hear the crowd respond to a potential murder and the strange team that is The Death Riders and The Learning Tree.
Blistering and near hyperventilating at points as the fire of his words took the oxygen from his lungs, Hangman Adam Page cut an incredible promo on last week’s Collision. Like Page’s dried blood pre-unsanctioned match promo for Swerve Strickland last year, The Hangman has embraced his darkness. Spilling everything from Strickland’s. If not for the referee, Page would have maimed the former AEW World Champion. Page promises the same for a former friend and mentor. No longer humoring Daniels, who has disrespected the cowboy by touching him, Page is going to extreme measures to validate himself. Page justified and explained that he would embrace the darkness of his mental health relapse and use it to take more than retribution.
The Fallen Angle will not stand aside. But will Daniels’ pride turn to hubris? Although Daniels recognizes he’ll likely be knocked down, Adam Cole, Lance Archer, Jon Moxley, and Strickland received no mercy during these bouts of violent splendor. All week, the discord around the idea of Death Riders teaming with The Learning Tree has brought fair criticism. Death Riders and The Learning Tree are binary opposites at polar ends of the ideological line. Yet, their weight essentially bends it into a circle they meet back-to-back at its base.
In theory, The Learning Tree many thought the sports entertainment group would have been Moxley’s first target. Yet, being heels, hypocrisy is usually a trademark and there’s been a fair bit of contradiction with Death Riders. Intentional or inadvertent, some fans aren’t interested.And yet, as a contest, the prospects of carnage are there beyond the numbers. Given the amount of violence between Cope and Moxley alone, things might reach beyond the boiling point. An explosion could be imminent.
