WWE will travel to the Marble City for the fallout edition of Monday Night Raw 5/11/26 at Food City Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. From the Raw brand, Roman Reigns retained the World Heavyweight title against Jacob Fatu, who launched a post-match assault on the Champion.
The 2026 edition of Backlash concluded last week in Tampa, Florida, featuring five high-stakes matches, including two title showdowns. On the other hand, Iyo Sky defeated Asuka, while Bron Breakker triumphed over Seth Rollins, with a little help from the Vision members, including Paul Heyman, who interfered during the match. General Manager Adam Pearce has revealed that Jacob Fatu will take part in Roman Reigns’ acknowledgment ceremony. This comes after Fatu launched a vicious assault on Reigns after the title loss at the PLE on Saturday. After the attack, an injured and irate Reigns stated that Fatu doesn’t belong here, and Backlash was his last night.
What chaos will ensue in the acknowledgement ceremony, that remains to be seen. Additionally, Pearce also announced that Women’s Tag Team Champions Brie Bella and Paige will appear to respond to The Judgment Day’s challenge. Meanwhile, a six-man tag team match will see The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) team up with Joe Hendry to take on The Vision (Bron Breakker, Logan Paul & Austin Theory). Additionally, the Oba Femi open challenge will continue in Knoxville. As noted, the 2026 edition of Backlash concluded on May 9 at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa. WWE has no time to rest this month as they will have to switch back into the build towards the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event and the next PLE after Backlash, i.e., Clash in Italy. The show is expected to address the aftermath of the PLE, especially the attack by Jacob Fatu on Roman Reigns after the match, while building towards SNME and Clash in Italy.
Women’s Tag Team Champions Brie Bella and Paige will face off with The Judgment Day, who are after a shot at their titles. Whilst men’s tag champs Logan Paul and Austin Theory bring major muscle to their showdown with The Street Profits. Joe Hendry acts as their – ahem – muscle. Talking of muscle, Oba Femi hosts another open challenge. Otis proved a worthy and meaty opponent last week. Typically, challengers get bigger and bigger week by week. So don’t expect to see Luchahausen or the other mini Danhausens from WWE Backlash.
