The 12/20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will be telecasted from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, U.S.A. The 12/20 episode was pre-taped following the 12/13 show of the Blue brand last week at the aforementioned venue. The pre-taping of the 12/20 episode was done to give the WWE roster some additional time off during the upcoming Christmas season. The results for the 12/20 episode are already out but here we will take a look at the preview for the upcoming episode.
The spotlight will be on Kevin Owens, who is set to address the Hartford crowd after a shocking turn of events. Following his loss to Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the Undisputed WWE Championship, Owens launched a brutal post-match attack. KO delivered a devastating package piledriver to Rhodes after the show went off the air, leaving the champion stretchered out of the arena. Fans are eager to hear what Owens has to say about his actions. Meanwhile, Carmelo Hayes will look for redemption after a tough loss to Braun Strowman on last week’s SmackDown. Hayes gets another shot at the Monster Among Men in what promises to be an intense rematch. The tag team division also heats up as #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) celebrate their controversial title win over the Motor City Machine Guns. The new champions turned heel during their victory, with Gargano delivering a low blow to Sabin to secure the gold.
The Bloodline is set to appear on this week’s episode of the Blue brand. Solo Sikoa and the company will cut a promo asserting their dominance. Sikoa and company have launched a terrorizing campaign following their humiliating defeat in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. The faction has targeted anyone who dared to question the authority of Sikoa. The promotion will build the storyline of the Bloodline with Drew McIntyre on this week’s show. McIntyre has recently returned earlier this month to launch a devastating campaign of taking down every member of the OG Bloodline faction. McIntyre recently defeated Sami Zayn at Saturday Night’s Main Event and made it clear that he will not rest until he takes down every member of the OG faction.
Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga (The Bloodline) will take on LA Knight, Andrade, and Apollo Crews in a six-man tag match on this week’s episode. The feud started on the fallout show of the Blue Brand when The Bloodline attacked Apollo Crews in the opening moments. Later in the show, the faction also targeted Knight and Andrade. Sikoa and Knight locked horns in the 12/13 episode but their clash ended in a disqualification due to the Bloodline’s interference. Crews and Andrade rushed in to settle their score and save Knight. However, the three stars faced a similar fate at the hands of the Bloodline. ‘The Prizefighter’ Kevin Owens is scheduled to make an appearance on this week’s episode. KO will address the Hartford crowd following his recent loss at the hands of Cody Rhodes. KO locked horns with Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event with the Undisputed WWE title on the line for the clash. Owens attacked Rhodes after the loss as he landed a devastating package piledriver after the show went off the air. The champion was stretchered out of the arena due to the attack. WWE has confirmed that Cody Rhodes has been diagnosed with axial compression of the cervical spine, along with a cervical strain and spasm, following the brutal package piledriver delivered by Kevin Owens last night.
